Where we install window treatments in Florence
We measure and install window treatments throughout Downtown Florence, Main Street district, Rural Fremont County and the rest of Fremont County.
Window coverings for historic Florence homes
Historic homes rarely have square, standard-size windows, and deep sills complicate the mount. Everything we sell is custom-measured, so faux wood blinds, cellular shades, roman shades, and shutters fit the opening you actually have — including inside-mount options that preserve original trim in Florence's early-1900s houses.
We also handle arched, bay, and other specialty windows common in older homes near the Main Street district, building treatments to the actual shape rather than forcing a stock rectangle into an irregular opening.
Rural Fremont County acreage
Properties outside town toward rural Fremont County deal with more dust and wider temperature swings than in-town homes. Faux wood blinds hold up to that better than real wood, and cellular shades add a layer of insulation for cold nights without needing a whole-house retrofit.
We measure these homes the same way we measure downtown properties — in person, by hand, with the actual window in front of us rather than a floor plan.
Fast local service
Because Florence is about 10 minutes from our Cañon City store, design appointments and installs schedule fast, often within the same week you request them.
Your written quote includes measuring, the treatment, and installation by Todd himself — no surprises and no waiting on parts to ship from a regional warehouse.
Questions Florence homeowners ask us
- Will custom shades fit my home's original arched windows?
- Yes. We measure arched and bay windows by hand and order shades or shutters built to that exact shape, which is common in Florence's older Main Street district homes.
- How fast can you get to Florence for a measure?
- Very fast — Florence is about 10 minutes from our Cañon City showroom, so appointments are usually available within days.
- What holds up better on a dusty rural property, wood or faux wood blinds?
- Faux wood blinds. They resist warping and are easier to wipe clean than real wood, which matters on rural Fremont County properties with more dust and bigger temperature swings.
- Can you install without damaging original window trim?
- In most cases, yes. We use inside-mount hardware sized to preserve original casing on Florence's historic homes, and we'll flag any window where an outside mount is the better option before we order.
