Where we install hardwood in Florence
We install hardwood throughout Downtown Florence, Main Street district, Rural Fremont County and the rest of Fremont County.
Historic Florence hardwood
Many Florence homes date to the early 1900s, and original hardwood is often hiding under old carpet or vinyl. We pull back a corner during the measure to check condition, thickness, and whether refinishing makes sense.
When original wood can't be saved, engineered hardwood and high-end laminate reproduce the warm, period look without the maintenance headaches of solid wood in an older home.
Subfloor and leveling
Older subfloors are rarely flat. We level, repair, and fasten as needed so the finished hardwood lies flat and doesn't squeak. That work is included in your written quote, not added as a surprise later.
Because Florence is close to our Cañon City showroom, measures and installs schedule fast.
A short drive, a fast turnaround
Florence's location just east of Cañon City means travel time is short, which usually translates into tighter scheduling windows for both the measure and the install day. If you'd rather see boards in person first, the showroom at 422 Main St is a quick trip.
We treat Florence's older housing stock with the same care as our downtown Cañon City jobs — checking joists, moisture, and flatness before we ever recommend a product, so the hardwood you choose actually performs in the home it's going into.
Florence hardwood questions
- Do older Florence homes usually have original hardwood under the carpet?
- Quite often, yes. Many Florence homes date to the early 1900s, and we routinely find original hardwood under old carpet or vinyl. We check during the free measure and let you know if it's a candidate for refinishing.
- What if my Florence home's subfloor isn't flat?
- That's common in older houses. We level, repair, and fasten the subfloor as part of the job so the finished hardwood doesn't squeak or telegraph unevenness, and that prep work is included in your written quote up front.
- How fast can you schedule a hardwood install in Florence?
- Faster than more distant towns, usually, since Florence sits just minutes from our Cañon City showroom and crews. Once your material arrives, we can typically get on the schedule quickly.
- Is laminate ever a better option than engineered hardwood for a Florence home?
- Sometimes, especially in older homes where budget or moisture concerns make solid or engineered hardwood impractical. We'll show you both side by side at the measure so you can compare the real look and feel before deciding.
Financing available for Florence homeowners
